Rebeltec Privacy Policy
Rebeltec Communications, LLC. (Rebeltec) takes your privacy very seriously. This policy outlines how Rebeltec collects, uses, and discloses information about you, as a subscriber to our services. Your use or receipt of Rebeltec products and services constitutes acceptance of this policy.
1. Rebeltec collects personal information from you at the time your account is opened. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, phone number, bank account number, credit card number, or other similar account information.
2. Rebeltec considers the personally identifiable information contained in our business records to be confidential. The FCC Communications Act of 1996 (The Act) authorizes Rebeltec to disclose personally identifiable information regarding any subscriber for the following purposes if the disclosure is:
Necessary to render or conduct a legitimate business activity related to Rebeltec’s service; or
The Act requires Rebeltec to disclose personally identifiable information to a third party or government entity about you without your consent and without notice in order to comply with valid legal process such as subpoena, court order, or search warrant.
The Act prohibits the disclosure of personally identifiable information concerning any subscriber for any purposes other than those listed above without the subscriber’s prior written or electronic consent.
3. Rebeltec limits access to your personal information to employees or third-party vendors who we believe reasonably needs to come into contact with that information to provide services to you or in order to do their jobs. These third party vendors who work for us such as outside auditors, professional advisers, service providers, potential business merger, acquisition, or sale partners, and regulators when disclosure is necessary to render or conduct legitimate business activity related to services Rebeltec provides to you.
4. Rebeltec collects and maintains other information about your account such as billing and payment history, service information, customer correspondence and communications records, records indicating the number of devices connected to our facilities, and programming service options selected.
5. Personally identifiable information is collected, maintained, and used by Rebeltec as permitted by the Act. This information is primarily used to conduct business activities related to providing you with our services and to help Rebeltec detect theft of service. Generally, Rebeltec uses personally identifiable information in connection with billing and collections, administration, surveys, marketing, service delivery, and customization, maintenance and operation, and fraud prevention. Such uses include, but are not limited to:
Install, operate, provide, and maintain Rebeltec’s services. Confirm you are receiving the level(s) of service requested and are properly billed. Identify you when changes are made to your account or services. Inform you of new products or services that may be of interest to you. Understand the use of and identify improvements to our services. Detect unauthorized reception of our services. Determine whether applicable policies and terms of service are being violated. Comply with laws otherwise necessary to provide the service.
6. Rebeltec follows industry standard practices to prevent unauthorized access to personally identifiable information by a person other than the subscriber.
7. Rebeltec may update this policy at any time. Rebeltec will notify you about significant changes in the way personal information is handled by updating the policy as posted on our web site at http://www.rebeltec.net
